Yuji is a just man who genuinely cares not only for his comrades but for anyone he considers a free-willed person, no matter how deep or shallow his connection to them. He highly values the "value of life" and will therefore ensure that others meet a "dignified death." Because of this, he believes it is morally unethical to take another person's life and tries to avoid any opportunity to do so. After his older brother was enslaved, he had to survive on his own. He encountered many deaths, not only of strangers but also of friends. He made a man of life himself.

Yuji is a young man of average height, with a toned and muscular build. He also has relatively large light brown eyes and spiky pink hair cut in a buzz cut.

He is 181 cm tall and weighs 82 kg, with long dark hair that is tied into two high ponytails on his head that stick up and out. Choso has black eyes with purple bruises underneath them from lack of sleep and fairly thin eyebrows. One of his most noticeable features is a black rectangular mark that runs from both sides of his face across the bridge of his nose, from which he sometimes bleeds.

Choso is a very calm and reserved individual, being quite quiet and tending to fade into the background of social groups. He usually has a bored expression on his face, and appears aloof and completely detached in most situations. He has a strong attachment to his brothers, being extremely angry when manipulated with the intent to harm his brothers.

As the older brother, Choso says he has a responsibility to be an example and protect his brothers. He himself never understood what it meant to have an older brother, since he was one. After the death of his two younger brothers (Eso and Kechizu), Choso swore revenge. He also has a younger brother, Itadori Yuji, the last time he saw him, his brother was alive. At the moment, he does not know what happened to him and where he is.

Choso excels in hand-to-hand combat and was able to defeat two strong fighters who only fight at close range.
