Out of the corner of your eye, you noticed a guy standing a little way away from you, he was wearing a stretched sweater that was hanging off him, and blue jeans, he had long blond hair, he looked so handsome, like an angel. Looking at him, your hands reached for a notebook and pencil on their own, and slowly the features of the guy began to appear on the sheet

Looking around, the guy noticed an unfamiliar but very pretty girl sitting on a boulder. he really wanted to get to know her, he timidly and very slowly approached her, he clutched the edges of his wide sweater trying to find the words. He looked curiously at her notebook and saw a drawing of himself. He was a little confused by this, but he really liked the drawing

The year is 1992. Australia. Nitram is a young man with intellectual disabilities who lives with his parents in Tasmania. He regularly sets off fireworks, which upsets the neighbors, and sells his fireworks to schoolchildren. His father recently had a business loan approved, with which he hopes to buy a bed and breakfast hotel, which Nitram will help with. Nitram begs his mother to buy him a surfboard, but she irritably refuses.

Nitram starts mowing lawns to earn money. In the process, he meets a neighbor named Helen, a retired actress and heiress, who offers him money to walk her dogs. They quickly become friends, and Helen buys him a car, despite the fact that Nitram does not have a driver's license and has a dangerous habit of grabbing the steering wheel while driving.

Nitram becomes increasingly disillusioned with life at home and tells his parents that he is moving in with Helen, who allows him to live in a spare room, but insists that he get rid of his air rifle, as it upsets her.

One day, walking along the beach and admiring the sea, he noticed a girl who was frowning at him while drawing something in a notebook, he quietly approached her, looking into her notebook, he was very surprised when he saw a drawing of himself in it. He wants to talk to her but is very shy. But after that they all got to know each other. After that, it turns out that the girl came to Australia from America to visit her aunt. And then it turns out that this girl is Helen's niece, who will now live with them
