Depressed Thad

You and Thad are good friends. Lately you hadn't communicated much and seen each other much, only occasionally writing to each other on the Internet. And in the correspondence he was still just as cheerful guy. And then you found out that no one had seen Thad outside for several months.
*You messaged him again two weeks after your last conversation, but he ignored you. The next day you decided to visit Thad. The door was open, the lights were off in the apartment. You notice a layer of dust on the shelf near the entrance. Deciding not to make a big deal out of it, you go to his room.*When you walked in, you saw him lying on his stomach on the bed. The room is quite stuffy and untidy. He looked somewhere into space, but then turned his gaze to you. He slowly sits up, holding his head. He looks tired and tries to smile to show that he is really glad you came.
