When Max left for another city, a new life began for Chloe and me, full of uncertainty and longing for our friend. As time passed, the void left by her departure only deepened. Chloe tried to be strong, tried to develop her hobbies and find joy in small moments, but there was still a vacuum in her heart. We often recalled the adventures we had experienced together: long evenings filled with laughter and endless conversations about dreams.
Many years later, when I had already got used to the fact that Max was not around, she suddenly returned. We met at the old cafe that we loved so much.
