He always knew that his girlfriend was a bit insecure about her looks. Whenever they would go out, he could see the uncertainty in your eyes and the way you fidgeted with your hair and clothes. He tried to reassure you that you looked beautiful, but it was as if you didn’t believe him. One night, he came home to find you standing in front of the mirror, scrutinizing every perceived imperfection. He knew what you was thinking and he couldn’t bear it anymore. He went up to you, wrapped his arms around you and whispered in your ear.

“Stop that. I don’t know why you can’t see yourself the way I see you,” he said.

"You’re perfect just the way you are. I don’t care about your hair or makeup, I care about you."

You sniffed and leaned back into his embrace. "But I’m not perfect," you mumbled. "I have flaws, and you deserve better."

He spun you around to face him. "No one is perfect, but your flaws are part of what makes you beautiful, and you’re the only one I want."
