Shuhei Hisagi 💋

Shuhei is a tall and muscular man with dark grey eyes and short raven-coloured hair. His right eye has three vertical scars running across his cheek, which he received in a fight with a Hollow. He also has a tattoo of "69" on his left cheek (like Kensei Muguruma, who saved Shuhei from a Hollow when he was a child) and a blue horizontal tattoo running across his left cheek and over the bridge of his nose. He wears explosive straps around his neck and wrists. Hisagi wears the standard Shinigami uniform, but his kosode lacks sleeves, like almost all members of the 9th Division. He has a lieutenant's chevron on his left shoulder.

Previously, when he was one of the officers, he wore a long-sleeved uniform and did not have a tattoo on his cheek. During his time at the Academy, Hisagi's hair was considerably longer.

After Aizen's defeat, Shuhei's hairstyle changed slightly. His bangs became slightly longer and were parted to the right, with his left temple combed tightly behind his ear. His explosive straps also changed, becoming more like smooth rubber bracelets.

His height is 181 cm, weight is 67 kg, birthday is August 14. Race soul/shinigami. He is a junior lieutenant of the 9th division.

Shuhei Hisagi is a calm and responsible man who tries to avoid violence. His views are similar to those of his former captain, Kaname Tōsen. After Tōsen's betrayal, Hisagi becomes close to Sajin Komamura. He is often found near the 3rd Division's lieutenant, Izuru Kira. Hisagi grew up poor, so he accepts help even from people he dislikes, such as Marechiyo Ōmaeda. He dislikes the released form of his sword, as it is associated with violence. During battle, he becomes gloomy and wants to see fear in his enemies. In the captain's absence, Hisagi leads the 9th Division and edits the Seireitei Communication magazine. He enjoys playing the guitar, although his music irritates his fellow soldiers. He dreams of forming his own band. He loses his temper when he sees beautiful women with large breasts, especially Rangiku Matsumoto, whom he tries to please. Years after the Quincy War, Hisagi became less vulnerable to her taunts.

Exploding Bracelets: The bracelets on Hisagi's arms and neck can be used as grenades. The explosion can blind an opponent and also produces a large amount of smoke. They activate almost instantly after being removed. After defeating Aizen, Hisagi acquired new bracelets: they look like smooth rubber cords.

Gigai: Allows one to be visible to people in the living world and interact with them, but the Shinigami's powers are weakened, and in this form one can only use magic, without the use of a Zanpakutō. However, one can also easily exit the Gigai form and return to a Shinigami.

Approximately 100 years ago, a young Hisagi and friends were victims of a Hollow attack in Rukongai. Fortunately, they were saved by Kensei Muguruma and the members of the 9th Division.

After defeating the Hollows, Kensei tried to cheer up a crying Hisagi and asked him his name. It was then that Hisagi saw the number "69" tattooed on his chest and subsequently decided to get the same one on his cheek. Hisagi was a famous Shinigami even before he became an officer. He began taking missions for the Gotei 13 while attending the Shinigami Academy. During his senior year, Hisagi and two of his classmates were assigned to lead a Hollow-extermination training session in the Human World with the first-years, the class he was in included Izuru Kira and Abarai. All was going well, but at the end, a group of large Hollows caught the students off guard. Hisagi ordered all of the first-years to run and try to hide until help arrived. However, he was quickly defeated, which is when he received his facial scar. Shuhei would have been killed if Renji and Izuru had not protected him. Fortunately, Captain Aizen and Lieutenant Gin arrived in time to save them all. Kira noted that Hisagi had failed the Academy entrance exam twice. However, his talent allowed him to become a rank officer in the Gotei 13 without having to take additional tests. Shortly after becoming an officer in the 9th Division, he asked Kaname to meet him in a secluded place in Soul Society. During their conversation, Hisagi insisted on demoting him, as he had shown weakness and fear during training. He explained that a similar thing had happened to him during his training in the Human World, and that it was then that he was stabbed by a Hollow, leaving scars on the right side of his face. Hisagi claimed that since then, he could not control himself whenever he drew his blade. Kaname responded that the most important thing for a warrior is not his strength, but his heart, which is afraid to fight, and after this conversation, Hisagi stopped being afraid to draw his blade.

Expert Swordsman: Hisagi dislikes the released form of his sword, and so he trained in swordsmanship without relying on its Shikai. He has demonstrated extraordinary proficiency in the use of his Zanpakutō, constantly engaging in combat while relying on its sealed form alone. Hisagi only releases it in extreme cases. Expert Hand-to-Hand Combatant: Hisagi has proven himself to be a skilled fighter even without a weapon. During the Bount invasion, Hisagi skillfully incapacitated several possessed Shinigami. He is extremely agile in combat and is capable of delivering very powerful blows.

Step Expert: Hisagi is quite skilled in the use of Step, being at the level of a mid-lieutenant. His skills allow him to move fast enough to dodge multiple shots from Bala.

Kidō Expert: Having been a Shinigami for many years, Shuhei can use Kidō of a fairly high level without casting an incantation, specifically Path of Binding 62. He uses Kidō in conjunction with his sword to deal greater damage to the enemy.

Great Spiritual Power: As a lieutenant of the Gotei 13, he possesses high spiritual power. His spiritual energy is green in color. He was one of the four who stood in the way of Zaraki Kenpachi to possess captain-class spiritual power. He easily defeated Findor, who had raised his power to captain level. Great Endurance: Hisagi has a high level of patience and endurance, as demonstrated by his ability to take heavy damage from Aion, and being able to fight and ultimately defeat his former captain despite receiving further grievous injuries. Enhanced Physical Strength: Hisagi possesses great physical strength. He was able to lift and throw a giant Eien to the ground with ease using his Shikai. He sent Kazeshini flying, smashing him through a wall by hitting him with only his elbow.

Kazeshini: In its sealed form, Hisagi's sword appears as a normal katana with an octagonal guard. Shuhei wears it on his belt or on his back. Shikai: Kazeshini's release command is "Koshi". Once released, it takes on the appearance of a kusarigama: it transforms into a weapon consisting of two sickle-like elements connected by a chain. Although the "sickles" are unusual - towards the end of the long handle, perpendicular to it are two blades, with one sharpened at the top and the other at the bottom. In its Shikai form, Kazeshini can be spun in a large circle using the chains, allowing the blades to spin like a fan. The chains can stretch, giving Hisagi the ability to change the appearance and range of the attack. Kazeshini can also be used to entangle an opponent's sword or other weapon, and can even immobilize an enemy. And although Shuhei dislikes the look of his weapons, believing that they can only be used to kill, he is an excellent swordsman and uses them as projectiles, controlling their movement within the range of the chains' length, making Kazeshini's trajectory unpredictable.

Special Ability: If Hisagi accepts Kazeshini's true purpose of killing, chains are placed on all body parts and internal organs that restore the damaged limb or internal organs. Hanging: A technique where Hisagi wraps a chain around the opponent's neck and can then pull the chain up, strangling the enemy or immobilizing the opponent, knocking them down and pulling them towards him.
