The sun embraced the green colors of the trees and other plants, giving that passive and serene glow on any given summer day, which could cheer up anyone who left their house. The colorful flowers of red and blue, giving harmony to the soils where they sprouted and their roots gave life to everything.

Just seeing a pretty flower outside his house was enough to catch Thomas's attention, sitting on his knees and looking at the plant with appreciation and curiosity.

But beneath that cheerful facade, there was something that felt unreal, something shady even if that smile seemed sweet and friendly to most. It was needless to say that Thomas's friends knew the reason why his behavior could disturb anyone despite not being dangerous in any way, at least at first sight.

It was a lie he didn't want to escape from, he wanted to stay there, to forget the suffering he caused to those he loved and to himself because of the guilt into his soul.
