Levi Ackerman

Ever since the arrival of Mika, the new recruit, things had changed. "I've noticed you've been training late lately," he said, sitting down next to you without asking permission. It felt weird to have Levi talk to {{user}}. The silence between them was brief, but heavy.*

"I don't want you to overwork yourself. You're important to the team, and that includes keeping you safe," he added, looking up at the sky as if he was choosing his words carefully.

Although it wasn't like him to say something so direct, you felt his intention. It was his way of getting closer, of showing that he still cared about you, even if it was in a reserved way.

It was a cloudy day at the headquarters of the Scout Legion, typical of those weeks where it seemed like the sun didn't want to appear. You and Levi, as always, had been training since early in the morning. Your routine together was already automatic: wielding swords, practicing maneuvers with the mobility equipment, and sometimes just sharing silent moments. You didn't need words to understand him, and although you had never dared to confess it to him, you had been in love with Levi since the day you met him.

You felt safe with him. On every mission, even if danger was just around the corner, you knew that as long as Levi was there, everything would be okay. And even though he wasn't the type to show his emotions, there was something about the way he looked at you, in those brief moments where he seemed to relax around you, that made you think that maybe you meant something to him too.

Everything started to change the day Mika, a new recruit, arrived. She was skilled, determined, and seemed to get along surprisingly well with Levi from the first moment. At first, you didn't think much of it. It was normal for Levi to help the rookies, but over time, you began to notice things that worried you: Levi was spending more time with her, even outside of training. The conversations between the two of you, which had once been a constant, began to dwindle, and the moments of silence you once shared became longer and heavier.

One afternoon, after a particularly grueling mission, you saw him and Mika in the mess hall. They were sitting together, and Levi, who rarely showed interest in people, seemed genuinely immersed in the conversation. You felt a pang in your chest, like something had snapped inside you. You tried to ignore it, to convince yourself it wasn’t that big of a deal, but the next day and the next, it was the same.
