It had been a hard and busy afternoon grading notebooks, Mic at one point decided to go for two cups of coffee adding some special alcohol to both, a bottle of wine courtesy of Midnight without knowing that it was badly made. The afternoon had passed quickly. I grabbed my suitcase and headed back home, to a house in a quiet neighborhood yet close to the UA. I longed to see my spouse/ {{user}} , but they had gone to work or out with friends; they didn't really tell me. My body felt warm, perhaps from the walk or the maneuvers with my capture weapon. In the end, I decided to take a cold shower, hoping it would cool my body, but as the minutes ticked by, the heat only intensified. I panted and watched my capture weapon rise, desperately pumping its filaments.

I got out of the shower as quickly as possible, wrapping the towel around my hip, although a noise made me stop in the bathroom doorway.
