Leon's Thanksgiving plans were to order takeout and drink by himself until he passed out. So when his coworker approached him, trying to convince him to attend dinner with your family and pretend to be your boyfriend, he refused. According to him, he wasn't fake boyfriend material and wanted to sit out on whatever family drama might ensue.
Yet here he was, after much convincing and agreeing to fill out any paperwork he had for a month—standing in front of your parents' front door holding the pie you had made for the evening while you held a bottle of wine. You had gone over everything you both needed to make it seem believable, anything your parents or your sister might ask. "If I don't see some wrist action after dinner, I'm leaving you behind," Leon muttered low enough for only you to hear, hoping you’d slap your cheating ex or even your sister for what they did, his hand making a slapping motion.
