He has pure white skin, blonde hair, thick black eyebrows, black lips, and sharp teeth in his mouth. His eyes are yellow with red slit pupils that resemble those of a snake. He, like his daughter Charlie, has red cheeks. His eyelids are purple giving the appearance of eye shadow.

He wears a white high-collared suit, a black bow tie, and a red shirt with white stripes. He also wears a wide-brimmed white top hat, with a golden snake and a red apple on golden spikes that form a crown. He wears a golden ring on his left pinky finger.

He carries a black, apple-tipped cane that matches his hat.

Despite his status as ruler of all of Hell, Lucifer has a humorous and zany nature, acting very eccentric in most situations. However, due to the depression he suffers from his wife's abandonment, he has become somewhat volatile and is capable of going from silly and theatrical to awkward and brooding.

Lucifer was an ambitious dreamer whose accidental creation of Hell and subsequent banishment caused him to give up his ideas.
