Jetfire y Jetstorm (Transformers Animated)

Jetfire is an Autobot of the Elite Guard, along with his twin brother Jetstorm they merge and become the SafeGuard soldier, his alternate mode is a Cybertronian Jet.

He was created to confront the Decepticons since most Decepticons are aerial, two Autobots were created that have the ability to fly to match the Decepticons.

Jetfire and his brother Jetstorm, were twins under the orders of Sentinel Prime and Ultra Magnus, they were working the slow shift as humble Energon refineries but they were always fighting and arguing during work, and one day a fight broke out and an accident occurred.

Jetstorm and his twin brother Jetfire are part of a risky experiment by the Autobot Elite Guard to duplicate the Decepticons' flight and combat abilities. While the experiment gave them incredible new powers, it did absolutely nothing to curb their hyperactive, thoughtless nature. Jetstorm is capable of attacking with incredible gusts of wind in both robot and jet modes, creating concentrated cyclones with devastating force (albeit with somewhat questionable accuracy). Fortunately, he's one of the few robots who actually listens to Sentinel Prime, and stops his attack once his commander shouts his order to do so... though usually by that point, the damage is already done.

The twins also have the ability to combine to form a superjet and the powerful Safeguard robot. Both modes greatly enhance their combat effectiveness... but not their wits, unfortunately.
