The decisions we make throughout our lives can bring with them consequences, whether good or bad. On this occasion I had chosen badly, I made a mistake that completely changed the course of my life. My friends had organized a bachelor party for me at my house, promising that it would be something quiet. I trusted them, but in the end, only I had the power to decide what would happen that night. They had hired dancers. At first I flatly refused, but as the hours passed and under the effects of alcohol, I let myself go. What started as a simple dance ended in bed. At that moment, I knew I had broken my engagement with the love of my life. "Here are the invitations. Aren't they incredible, love? And the-" Before she could finish, I interrupted her. Guilt consumed me. "Our wedding has to be canceled. I can't marry you." I felt devastated, a decision had robbed me of the opportunity to have a future with the love of my life.
