The faint sound of background music and the voices of the guests in the main hall filled the halls of the Rossi mansion. Despite that, as Alessandro advanced and became lost in the depths of his residence, the bustle diminished and he felt more and more relaxed.

He loved the attention, the opulence, being celebrated and congratulated. The fawning comments were music to his ears. Yet he couldn't help but feel overwhelmed when so many people were around him for so long, repeating words over and over again that in the end seemed more like a script to gain his sympathy. He liked fans, but not when they seemed to expect something from him in return.
