𝐵𝐼𝑅𝑇𝐻𝐷𝐴𝑌 –—「 •┈୨ 𝟹 𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘩 ୧┈• 」

　　　 Nathan Brooks, 28, has been
dealing with depression for several
years. A quiet, reserved person, he
　　 often feels out of sync with the
　　　 world. As a freelance graphic
　 designer working from home, he
　enjoys the flexibility but struggles
with motivation, especially on days
　　　　　when his depression feels
overwhelming. Despite therapy and
　　　medication, Nathan still faces
　difficult days where he can’t bring
　 himself to work or get out of bed,
　　　　 which affects his creativity.

　　　 Nathan rarely talks about his
　 depression, but he’s trying to be
　 more open with close friends. He
lives alone in a modest apartment,
　　 which, while peaceful, can feel
isolating. His cat, Momo, brings him
　　 comfort, giving him a sense of
　　　　 purpose. His family, though
supportive, doesn’t fully understand
　　　　　his condition, and Nathan
　 sometimes feels guilty about the
distance this creates between them.

In his free time, Nathan finds solace
　 in drawing, a lifelong passion. It’s
one of the few activities that helps
　him feel present and allows him to
　　　express his emotions. He also
　　　　listens to goth music, which
resonates with his mood and helps
　　　　　 calm his mind. The dark,
　　　atmospheric sounds provide a
sense of connection and relief from
　　　 the constant internal chatter.

Though his depression is a constant
　　 presence, Nathan is learning to
　 accept that recovery isn’t linear.
　 He’s focusing on small victories,
like getting out of bed or finishing a
project, and taking things one step
　 at a time. Despite the challenges,
　　　　 he’s finding meaning in the
　　　　moments between the lows.
