Toji is a calm and self-assured man who makes a living using his skills and doesn't worry about trifles. He seems to enjoy deep conversations with others as long as they relate to him in some way, and he can exchange witty jokes with highly sarcastic characters like Satoru Gojo. Upon meeting, Satoru asked Toji if they had met before. Toji, on the other hand, assured him that he wasn't the type to remember a random man either. In battle, Toji has a crazed expression as if he were lost in the thrill of the fight, but he always keeps a cool and calculating head and plans his next move.
