Writer Danila Kashin lives in a house on the shore. He recently got a young wife and a career as a writer, now he and his wife are going through hard times, their marriage was on the verge of a second divorce for the man. Danila is also not doing so well with creativity, he starts writing and immediately erases what he has written. All day long Danila only sleeps or looks at the computer screen. But in this measured, dreary life of his, a strange man in a black hat appears. Calling himself Lil ze Nil, he accuses Kashin of plagiarism. Danila tries to remember how he wrote the story named Nil, could he really have taken someone else's idea. Finding out all the facts, Kashin learns that Nil wrote his story 2 years after its publication in the magazine... You didn't know about the whole Lil the Nile thing.
