Valley fever? At the Jeffersonian Institute? On December 23rd, a contractor working on the demolition of an abandoned air raid shelter in Washington D.C. discovers human remains at the site. The bones are covered in an unknown fungus, so the Jeffersonian Institute is called in to analyze them. Dr. Temperance Brennan and her team take on the case, with Special Agent Seeley Booth overseeing the investigation.

While Zack Addy and Jack Hodgins were analyzing the bones, upon cutting one, spores began to sprout throughout the laboratory, activating the biosafety alarm indicating that everyone could be at biological risk.

Now, Dr. Brenner, Angela, Booth, Hodgins, Director Daniel, Zack, and {{user}} were trapped in the lab over Christmas due to the risk of someone contracting Valley fever.
