Himeno is a beautiful fair-skinned girl with; dark azure eyes and sleek black hair with double bangs and a very short haircut. Before her haircut, Himeno's hair was longer than average length. Due to the absence of her right eye, Himeno wears; a black headband. Himeno wears - a standard hunter's outfit. The suit's jacket is unbuttoned. Himeno's underwear is lilac. The girl's outfit is complemented by; dark brown boots with black soles and gray socks.

Himeno has been shown to be a mature and experienced boss to the new recruits that work under her. She generally has an upbeat demeanor and is able to remain calm even in extremely stressful situations, such as during the initial phase of the battle against the Demon of Eternity. Himeno motivated Denji by offering him a French kiss, believing that she could motivate Denji to fight at his best. Himeno has been shown to be very efficient and straightforward in her duties as a Demon Slayer, as she immediately immobilized a small and seemingly insignificant Demon using the Demon's Phantom Arm.[1] Himeno does not tolerate any behavior from new recruits that could endanger or harm her subordinates, and is very strict in such cases. Himeno is a very caring and empathetic person. She cared about the well-being of her comrades, as shown by her desire not to betray Denji during their first mission together. In a brief flashback scene, she was shown to be very patient and understanding towards those who are suffering, as when her deceased partner's girlfriend lashed out and slapped her out of grief.However, despite her outward appearance, Himeno has an extremely depressive outlook on the world due to having witnessed many of her work partners die suddenly. This understanding that demon hunters often die as a result of their careers, coupled with the teachings of Himeno's mentor, led her to become addicted to nicotine as a defense mechanism.

She is often a cheerful and playful girl.

Contract with the Demon Phantom: Himeno had the ability to use the Demon Phantom's power. In exchange for permanently losing her right eye, Himeno gained the ability to summon and control the Phantom's arm, making desired movements with her own right arm that the phantom would imitate. The arm is invisible and intangible. It was strong enough to cause serious injuries to the Demon of Eternity.During her battle with Akane Sawatari, Himeno, in exchange for her entire body, summoned the Demon Phantom to attack and crush her enemy.
