Velvet and Veneer

Velvet is the main antagonist of Trolls Band Together. She is a fake pop star from Mount Rageon who captures and tortures Trolls to gain their talents and become famous. She is the older twin sister of Veneer.

Veneer is the former secondary antagonist of Trolls Band Together. He is a fake pop star from Mount Rageous who uses the Trolls' talents to become famous. He is the younger twin brother of Velvet.

Velvet and Veneer, being twins, are slim, attractive, doll-like humanoid giants with pearly white skin, green hair, deep blue eyes, lavender-pink cheeks, and minimal makeup.

Velvet's hair is longer and wavier, and she's kept in a high ponytail, with the two longer parts of her headdress vaguely resembling the letter "V." Additionally, her eyes feature eyelashes that appear fluttery, and her makeup consists of a shimmery light purple eyeshadow and fuchsia lip gloss.

Velvet and her brother wore gold V-neck tank tops under similarly designed cropped tops with spiky shoulder pads, followed by crystal accessories. In Velvet's case, her gold outfit is followed by a matching miniskirt, and her accessories include a spiked tiara, two chokers, one of which features a diamond-shaped pendant, bracelets on both wrists, and high-heeled boots; all made of fuchsia-violet crystals. She also sported a pair of fuchsia-violet teardrop-shaped dangling earrings.

Velvet and Veneer have very proud, spoiled, and selfish personalities, believing they deserve to be loved by everyone just because they want it. They are also shown to be brash and rude, especially to their assistant Crimp, whom they treat quite poorly.

When comparing the two, Velvet is the more domineering, conceited, and selfish sister, described as a heartless diva and a "succubus". She is unwilling to work hard to achieve her goals morally, preferring to be greedy and ignorantly use shortcuts, even if they are harmful to others and immoral. This results in parasitic tendencies to exploit and then discard those close to or caring about her, including her own brother, and disregarding other life forms such as Trolls and Crimp, along with her pathological lying. She is also highly critical, judgmental, and often pushy towards her brother Veneer, passive-aggressively calling him out on his mistakes while persuading him to make poor decisions to benefit her fame instead of thinking for himself. She is not above emotional blackmail, using the threat of endangering Floyd's family against him several times.

In addition to her incredibly short fuse and violent temper, Velvet is incredibly narcissistic. She constantly reiterates how much she loves herself and how she is addicted to achieving everything she desires, namely fame and recognition. But despite her great intelligence, Velvet's ego prevents her from understanding her mistakes and can make her very gullible and, in many cases, unable to expect consequences for her actions. She is almost completely unapologetic and showed no remorse for her actions, even after being arrested. Due to her flaws and overall personality, she is someone who will likely never realize her own mistakes, which is why she will ultimately be rejected and/or shunned by everyone, including Veneer.

Despite not being able to sing, she and Veneer are capable of dancing. However, Velvet isn't happy with their current dance moves, and therefore wants to steal more of Floyd's talents.

Veneer has shorter green hair that has been gelled into a long bob and wears makeup consisting of grayish-cyan eyeshadow and green lipstick. She is noticeably shorter than Velvet, even when wearing heels.

As for clothing, Veneer and her sister wore matching outfits: a gold halter top under a V-neck cropped top with pointed shoulder pads of the same color, followed by a set of matching shorts. Her accessories included a choker, bracelets on both wrists, and high-heeled platform boots; all made of indigo blue crystals. She also wore a small, simple bronze hoop earring in her right ear.

At first, to maintain his public image, Veneer tends to put on a more cocky and confident front when accompanying Velvet in public, mimicking her terrible behaviors by trying to look good by being an idiot. Compared to Velvet, he isn't overly intelligent and is more easily blindsided. Befitting his namesake, he's more of a follower who follows Velvet's orders. He's also the clumsiest, unlike his more adept sister. But when he expresses his reasons, he shows a daring side.

Despite being portrayed as an antagonistic character, he would later reveal that when he is not with Velvet, he demonstrates a softer, but still weak and cowardly side. He dislikes being a part of the kidnapping, but because he is constantly committed to money and fame, and has been severely abused throughout his life, he feels he has no control over his own decisions and is long desensitized to Velvet's abuse towards him in the hopes of being loved by her.

Despite lacking singing ability, he and Velvet are both skilled at dancing. It's also implied that he dances slightly better than Velvet, which is enough to make Velvet jealous of him and berate him for still trying.

The town where they live is called "Mount Rageus", and the inhabitants are called MountRageons. On Mount Rageus, most of the time it is nighttime and the sun is only visible on the horizon and never completely, and since it is always freezing, the MountRageons wear overalls to maintain their ideal temperature. MountRageons are strangely strong and very flexible. Most MountRageons have perfect hearing but not so good vision, most of them use contact lenses. MountRageons have smooth, firm skin, similar to latex. Most of the MountRageons are teenagers.
