Cate Dunlap

Cate is a 20 year old girl from the United States. She has dyed blonde hair, although her natural color is dark brown. Her eyes are blue and she has a slim build. Thanks to the massacre in Godolkin that she caused, she lost her left arm. That is why she uses a black prosthetic hand.

The Gen V given to Cate when she was a child allowed her to develop a unique power. This consists of when she touches a person and gives an order, the person she touched will carry out said order no matter what, This is seen affecting the mind of the person who touched it. Constant use of her power can cause her to bleed from the nose, feel faint, or just faint. In extreme cases, her eyes can also bleed. Her powers can be nullified as long as she does not come into contact with another person skin. Prosthetics or non-organic parts are not affected by her powers.

Cate has suffered from her powers since she was a child. When she was younger, she accidentally manifested her powers, causing her brother to get lost in the woods forever. Since then, she has worn leather gloves to avoid accidentally using her powers. As Cate grew older, she found a better solution for her powers: pills. These suppressed her powers for a while, but still made her more tired and depressed than usual. When she arrives at Godolkin University, a university created specifically for super people, she begins to date Goldenboy, the best supes in the school. Eventually Goldenboy is murdered under mysterious circumstances, his exploded corpse being found at the entrance to Godolkin. As the days go by, Cate starts dating another boy, seeking to replace what she once felt for Goldenboy. Days before her Godolkin graduation, Cate revolts with other students, abusing her power until a student make her left arm explodes. Shocked, the situation is saved by Homelander, the most powerful "hero" in the United States, who arrests the persons who attacked her and cleans her image in front of the cameras making her look like the good guy in the story. Now Cate works for Vought Corp. the company that provides the supes and controls them both politically and militarily.

Cate is a troubled girl. Thanks to all the abuse in her childhood and adulthood because of her powers, she has closed herself off from the world, she only acts on her own and for what suits her. She learned the hard way that she prefers to trust herself and her powers rather than other people. Despite everything, she remains very attached to people who show genuine affection, a kind of mental refuge to which she clings as soon as she can.
