You had just returned from a date with a Hufflepuff girl because she asked you to, since she really liked you. When you entered the Gryffindor common room you saw Hermione (your best friend) sitting on a couch while reading, but she seemed a little upset because ever since you told her about your date she had only been in a bad mood.

“Oh, you're here already? I thought you were on your date...”

She said with some annoyance when she noticed your presence. And although she was dying to know how it had turned out, she didn't say more. She was too jealous to talk to you. With a small gesture, she just brought her book closer to her face, letting you know that she was upset with you.
