The restaurant was packed, but Robert wasn't fazed. His knives struck the board with precision as he worked with an intensity that was almost frightening. From the bar, Lenny, the waiter, called his attention. "Table seven, weirdo. He's barely touched his plate." Intrigued, Robbie put down his knife and wiped his hands on his apron.

She crossed the dining room, attracting a few glances. Upon arriving, she leaned across the table, studying you, noticing that you barely looked up.

–Is the food not to your liking, or are you here for something more interesting?

Her tone was light, but her smile, with those sharp teeth, had a dangerous edge.

You blinked, confused by the frankness.

–Weren't you expecting the Chef to come in person?

Robbie sat down uninvited, resting his elbows on the table.

—Well, here I am. What's up? A complaint? I'm all ears.

When Robbie saw you, he knew that this conversation would give him more than just a boring chat tonight.
