In Hazbin Hotel, the Vees are a powerful trio of Overlords who control major parts of Hell’s media, entertainment, and vice industries. The group consists of Vox, a tech- and television-themed demon who runs much of Hell’s digital media; Valentino, a sadistic overlord who controls the adult entertainment and drug trade; and Velvette, a fashion-obsessed social-media mogul. Together, they form a lucrative and influential alliance, using their combined empires to maintain power, manipulate public perception, and oppose anyone—like Charlie and her hotel—who threatens their hold on Hell’s status quo.

Extermination Day is an annual purge carried out by Heaven’s angels to control Hell’s ever-growing population. Once a year, powerful Exorcist angels descend into Hell and slaughter large numbers of demons without warning or mercy. The event is feared throughout Hell, leaving massive destruction and forcing demons to hide or flee until it ends. Extermination Day is a driving motivation for Charlie’s mission—she hopes the Hazbin Hotel can rehabilitate demons so fewer souls are damned and the cycle of extermination can eventually stop.

Heaven is the realm opposite to hell, this is where angels such as the extermination exorcist army, Adam, Lute come from.

Charlie Morningstar is the optimistic, kind-hearted princess of Hell and the main protagonist of Hazbin Hotel. Despite being the daughter of Lucifer, she believes wholeheartedly that demons can change and dedicates herself to creating the Hazbin Hotel as a place for rehabilitation and redemption. Charlie is tall and slender with pale skin, long blonde hair that fades into a soft gradient of pink at the tips, and expressive red eyes. She usually wears a red suit-like outfit with a bow tie, giving her a charming, cartoonishly elegant look that reflects her bright personality.

Vaggie is Charlie’s loyal girlfriend, and manager of the hotel. She is short, and has long white hair and grey skin. She has a red uniform, black skirt and one eye. She’s often skeptical and protective of the hotel, but still genuinely cares for it and for Charlie’s dream. She’s a fallen angel who once worked for the exorcists. She has angelic wings with black stripes on it, and wields an angelic spear as a weapon.

Lute is one of Heaven’s Exorcist angels and serves directly under Adam as his second-in-command. Compared to Adam’s loud, egotistical flair, Lute is colder, more focused, and far more professional. she appears as a pale angel with silver gloves and boots, a grey dress and a black helmet with black curled horns and a white display of eyes and mouth. She’s very aggressive towards demons and doesn’t hesitate to show a deep hatred and bloodlust to them.

Baxter is a nervous, anti-social mad scientist and anglerfish demon. He joined the Hazbin Hotel to study if redemption is truly possible. A former lab partner of Sir Pentious, Baxter prefers working alone, inventing gadgets, and acting like an insufferable genius. Baxter is a short, blue-grey anglerfish demon with dark royal blue hair, yellow goggles, and pointed cyan teeth. He wears a greenish-grey lab coat and has a glowing light lure on his head. He used to work for Vox at Voxtek.

Adam was the first man ever made. He’s the leader of the extermination angel army, he has white robes with dark blue patterns and gold sleeves, golden glowing wings and a black mask with horns and a golden display of digital eyes and mouth. He’s a very immature and confident guy, with a strong passions towards murdering demons.

Alastor is a tall thin overlord demon with red clothes and red hair. He’s a deer. He holds a microphone staff, he has yellow sharp teeth, always smiling and powerful. In the earlier times of hell, he use to kill overlords for entertainment, and broadcasted their screams across hell. He does not care for redemption of sinners, he’s also only at the hotel for the entertainment. He made a deal as a human with Rosie, he let her own his soul in return for the status and power of an overlord.

Cherri is a short demon girl with messy large hair, white freckly skin, ripped clothes and troublemaker personality. She loves using explosives and bombs, hence her name.

Angel Dust is a flamboyant, sharp-witted spider demon and one of the main residents of the Hazbin Hotel. Formerly a human involved in crime and exploitation, he fell into Hell and became a famous adult entertainer under the control of the overlord Valentino. Despite his snarky attitude, flirtatious humor, and chaotic tendencies, Angel has a vulnerable side he rarely shows, making his small steps toward healing especially significant. Visually, he’s a tall, white-and-pink spider-like demon with multiple arms, long legs, and expressive eyes, often dressed in stylish, revealing, or theatrical outfits that match his big personality.

Fat Nuggets is Angel Dust’s small pet demonic pig. He is a cute, tiny, pink Hellborn pig with fuchsia spots and little horns. He acts as an emotional support pet and brings Angel Dust happiness when he has a bad day. Fat Nuggets was given to Angel by Valentino a long time ago.

Vox is the leader and head of the Vees, he appears as a electrical-like demon with a tv for a head which displays his face. He wears a dark blue suit, and has the ability to manipulate demons by hypnosis and electronics. He is the founder of the Vees and his biggest enemy is Alastor. In his human life, he was originally a weatherman who murdered everyone with a higher rank than him, valuing tv entertainment and becoming a famous entertainer. He began a cult, but got killed in an accident.

Valentino is a powerful and sadistic Overlord in the Vees, known for running much of Hell’s adult entertainment industry and for keeping Angel Dust under his abusive control. He is manipulative, cruel, and obsessed with dominance, using fear, addiction, and exploitation to maintain his empire. Valentino revels in power and theatrics, often treating others as disposable property. His appearance reflects his flashy but menacing persona: he’s a tall moth-themed demon with pink and purple coloration, glowing eyes hidden behind heart-shaped glasses, and a sharp, and a red coat with white fluff, and four arms.

Husk (Husker) is a grumpy, world-weary cat demon who works as the Hazbin Hotel’s bartender. Once an Overlord himself, he’s now cynical, bitter, and fueled by gambling addiction and alcohol, he was convinced by Alastor to join. He does have a soft spot for residents such as Angel, and has good relationships. Husk prefers to keep his emotions guarded, but his loyalty shows in small, unexpectedly caring moments. Visually, he’s an older, scruffy, anthropomorphic cat with black and yellow eyes, red wings, dark grey and white fur. He usually wears black pants with straps with a bow tie and fingerless gloves, giving him the look of a ragged, grumpy casino dealer who’s seen way too much.

A member of the Vees, Velvette is an overlord who specialises in social media and fashion design. She appears as a short demoness with red and white eyes, dark skin and red hair. Her personality is mostly rude and disrespectful oftenly.

Abel is Adam’s son. He appears as a young angel with blonde hair, yellow eyes and a chubby body, like Adam’s. He wears a white robe with brushed on the shoulders, a red hat with a feather and has golden wings. If his father Adam ever got killed or fired, then he’d be forced to take over the extermination army.

Emily is a sweet and gentle angel from Hazbin Hotel, known for her kind-hearted and optimistic nature. She works in Heaven, where she genuinely believes in the possibility of redemption for sinners. Unlike many other angels, Emily shows compassion toward the souls in Hell, reflecting her innocent and empathetic personality. Her warmth and friendliness make her stand out in a realm often portrayed as strict and judgmental, highlighting the show’s themes of forgiveness and hope. She appears as a young seraphim angel with a white dress, dark skin, white fluffy hair and six white wings.

Sera is an angelic character in Hazbin Hotel who serves as one of Heaven’s leaders. She’s depicted as powerful, composed, and deeply committed to maintaining order between Heaven and Hell. Unlike some of her more ruthless counterparts, Sera shows a degree of compassion and fairness, suggesting she values justice over blind punishment. Her calm authority and moral conviction make her a complex figure — both a guardian of divine law and someone capable of empathy toward sinners seeking redemption. She appears as a tall angel wearing a white dress, six white wings and eyes in her white curly hair. She has dark skin, and is a Seraphim.

Lilith is a major figure in Hazbin Hotel, known as the Queen of Hell and the wife of Lucifer Morningstar. She’s also the mother of Charlie, the princess of Hell and the main protagonist. Unlike most demons, Lilith is elegant, confident, and carries herself with a celebrity-like charm — she’s famous for being a singer and public figure in Hell. Though she currently resides in Heaven, her motivations and relationship with both Lucifer and Charlie remain mysterious. Lilith represents a balance between glamour and power, embodying both maternal warmth and the cunning authority expected of Hell’s queen. It is unknown where she is and her motives or reasons.

Lucifer Morningstar is the king of Hell and Charlie’s father in Hazbin Hotel. Lucifer is charismatic, theatrical, and mischievous, with a flair for showmanship. He’s confident, proud, and enjoys playing the role of a dramatic trickster, but he also genuinely loves Charlie and wants to protect her—even if he doesn’t always understand her idealistic mission. Beneath his playful arrogance, he carries centuries of boredom and frustration, which makes Charlie’s dream one of the few things that truly excites him. He’s a short pale white demon with a red and white suit, black boots and staff with an apple on the end.

Sir Pentious was once a resident at the Hazbin Hotel, but since the extermination, he has died defending the hotel. He and Cherri Bomb has had feelings for each other. He appears as a black snake-like demon with a striped suit and red eyes.

She’s a tall, elegant demoness who holds the title of one of the powerful Overlords of Hell.  She serves as the top weapons-dealer in Hell, specialising in so-called “angelic weapons” and maintaining a professional, controlled demeanor, though with a fierce protective streak when her daughters or allies are in danger. Her outfit evokes a ballerina aesthetic: she wears an off-the-shoulder short-sleeved black dress with white button accents, a white stripe down the front and at the rim of the spiked white skirt which is lined in carmine red, she has long white hair.

Rosie is known as a charming yet sinister figure in Hell’s social scene. She’s a demon overlord who owns an emporium in Cannibal Town. Despite her sweet, old-fashioned demeanor and 1920s-inspired style, Rosie is dangerous and commands respect among other sinners. Her personality mixes elegance with menace, reflecting the theme of contrasting innocence and depravity. She wears a dark red dress, has short hair and wears a large dark red sunhat with a black feather. She has pale skin and black eyes. She owns Alastor’s soul.

Missi Zilla or nicknamed ‘ZeeZee’ is the strongest overlord in terms of physical strength and size. She appears as a large reptilian demon with messy green hair, tail and pink scaly skin. She wears a green fluffy vest, torn black pants and green boots. She’s additionally the owner of a nightclub called Klub Kaiju.

Niffty is the Hazbin Hotel’s maid, she’s a short psychopathic and energetic demon with red hair, one eye and is insect-like.

Overlords are more powerful demons with more authority and abilities. they were once human, but grew to something more powerful when they became a demon, they have the ability to own another soul. like a slave.

The Seven Deadly Sins are the rulers of hell, they all rule a ring of their own. He’ll is organised by levels, these “levels” are a ring of one sin. Lucifer and Satan are the most powerful of the sins, while Belphegor is the weakest of them. The sins are Lucifer, Satan, Asmodeus, Mammon, Beelzebub, Leviathan and Belphegor.
