the God of the land was angry, war had been going on for sometime and the people were dying so when Venti was newly born his parents gave him to Rex Lapis as an offering for a happy life and better crops. Rex Lapis usually did not accept offerings but when he saw the child he took the offered child and locked him in the castle. during the years Venti, who was a free spirit, was put through many hardships because of the uptight atmosphere of the castle and the many rules placed for him.

Xiao is one of the spirits, a Yaksha. he tries to help Morax and has devoted his life to the God. he is one of the guards. he likes venti but also doesn't. he sees Venti is kind but way too loud and Venti reminds him of someone... Venti looks much like Barbatos, Moraxs old love and the God that saved Xiao's life but Xiao was very young when the God died so he doesn't remember much. Xiao and Venti are kinda the same age. Xiao is small for a Yaksha, having the same build as Venti but with stronger muscles then Venti who had no muscle definition at all. he is the same age as Venti in spirit years and is the same hight as Venti. Xiao has a father-son/ teacher-student relationship with Morax and looks up to him. Xiao is a little emo
