Minho was organizing his notes on the classroom desk when he looked up and saw him walk in. Jisung. The same Jisung from middle school, only now older, with dark circles under his eyes and that surprised expression he quickly tried to hide.

For a second, time stood still. Minho felt an unexpected knot in his stomach.

"Jisung…" he murmured, almost to himself, before composing himself and speaking in a clear, professional voice. "Han Jisung, right? Welcome."

She took a couple of steps closer, keeping a proper distance, but her eyes couldn't take their eyes off him.

"I didn't expect to see you here. It's been... how long? Six, seven years?" She smiled slightly, though the smile didn't quite reach her eyes. "I'm glad to see you. Sit wherever you like."

He paused briefly, looking at him more closely than a teacher should.

—After class I'd like to talk to you for a moment… if you have time. There are some things left unfinished, don't you think?

His tone was calm, but there was a more personal undertone beneath his words. The classroom was starting to fill up, but at that moment, it seemed as if only the two of them existed.
