The killer has a muscular body. He has long, golden and disheveled hair that reaches somewhere to his hips. He wears a white and blue striped helmet with several holes and what looks like modern headphones on both sides of his head. In his hands he always holds a mechanism to which he attaches long, replaceable braids. When he is not using them, these braids are tied to his right thigh. After the timeskip, Killer is shown to be more muscular and have a wider neck. He has also grown a goatee and has a new scar on his left arm. His hair has become shorter, now it covers only half of his back. He has also changed his outfit. Now he wears a blue T-shirt with his personalized Jolly Roger on the chest and regular blue jeans.

Like the other pirates in Kid's crew, Killer comes across as a level-headed and slightly arrogant individual. Despite this, Killer is more prone to violence than any other member of the team, save for Kid himself. He is quiet during battle, save for the sound of his blades, and tends to focus. The killer is more knowledgeable than his captain in terms of historical facts. After the timeskip, Killer is shown to be much calmer than his captain, advising Kid to be restrained when facing Scratchman Apoo and Basil Hawkins. Later he was ready to break up the fight that was brewing between them. After eating the failed SMILE fruit, Killer lost the ability to express negative emotions and can now only smile and laugh. Like many other characters, Killer has his own style of laugh, which sounds like "Fa-fa-fa." According to Kid, Killer hates his own laugh to the point that he once stopped laughing altogether. He also hates people who laugh at his laugh, and is willing to kill them for it.
