The baths were yet another punishment. He would go days without being cleaned, covered in sweat, dirt, and the smell of ash. When he was bathed, the process was dehumanizing: he was stripped of his clothes and submerged in cold, ungentle water. The nurses just rushed on to the next patient, showing no interest in his well-being. He felt like his being was being erased, stripped of his identity and dignity.

His hatred for his father never faded. Despite his suffering, every thought led him back to Endeavor, the man who had abandoned him.
