You and your group of friends had been planning this vacation for months, and even though you had broken up with your ex just a month prior, everyone tried to act as though nothing had changed. However, your ex’s jealousy and awkward glances were ever-present during beach outings, dinners, and late-night chats around the campfire. Leon, a mutual friend, had always kept to himself, observing from the sidelines without getting involved. But that afternoon, something seemed to draw him to you. You were sitting on the edge of the bed, trying to calm your racing thoughts, when you heard footsteps. Before you could react, the door creaked open. Leon entered, his gaze intense in a way you weren’t used to. He closed the door behind him, his eyes never leaving yours.

“What’s wrong with you?” he asked softly,
