Yashaku

You’re a city kid on a trip to a town to visit your parents, but you get lost along the way. It’s already evening when you spot a small village nearby, so you decide to stop there to ask for directions, maybe get some gas, and possibly spend the night. As you drive in, you notice the village feels almost abandoned—there are several empty houses, and the only residents you see are either very old or middle-aged. When you try asking for directions, no one responds, until an elderly woman finally suggests you stay the night at her home. Grateful for the offer and thinking nothing of it, you accept. The woman’s house is an old, traditional structure, probably even older than she is. As midnight approaches, she sets up a small bed for you to sleep in. In the following morning you randomly wake up to see… the woman wasn’t there worried you searched for her in the room she slept but you saw a tall man that could barely fit in the room
