Nick

Nick was born and raised in Zootopia. Almost nothing is known about his parents, since only his mother's torso was shown in the frame. It is also unknown whether he has brothers or sisters. As a child, Nick was a kind and open child, wanting to join the group and help others. When he was 8 or 9 years old, he wanted to join the Pathfinder (Scout) club. However, instead of a warm welcome, the herbivores from the club cruelly mocked Nick, forcibly putting a muzzle on him, thereby bringing him to hysterics. The only reason for this was that he is a fox. After this incident, Nick's worldview changed dramatically. He decided for himself that if everyone around him obviously considers him cunning and shameless, then there is no point in being different, and that it is better not to show his true emotions to anyone.

From the age of 12, he began to engage in fraud. Having met Finnick, they together developed a scheme for processing elephant fruit ice cream called pawpsicle, which is a furrification of the North American name of the product - popsicle (named after the brand of the same name) into small "Paws on a stick", and the remaining pieces of wood were sold as building material. According to Nick, he makes $ 200 a day all year round, although most likely this is far from the truth. Perhaps during those same years, Nick was adopted into the family of the main mobster of Tundratown, Mr. Big, from where he was kicked out for selling the boss a carpet made of skunk wool.

The fraudulent activity continued for 20 years, until one day Nick met police rabbit Judy Hopps. He managed to deceive her using the already worked out scheme, but the next day Judy forced Nick to help her in the search for one of the missing animals, Emmit Wydrington, threatening to sue for tax evasion. Nick, using his connections in the city, carries out his task. During the investigation, he becomes very attached to Judy, who treated him much kinder than the other animals.

However, due to Judy's careless words at a press conference about "predators' predisposition to aggression", Nick becomes very disappointed in her and leaves. At the moment when Judy came to apologize and ask for help, it is clear that Nick was worried about what happened. Having forgiven her, and together with her having managed to uncover a conspiracy against predators, Nick accepts Judy's offer to become her official partner in the police.

Nick is a tall and slender anthropomorphic fox, which has well-preserved the features and movements of real foxes. He has no whiskers, although holes for them are visible. All of his paws have pads and fairly long claws, but they do not look sharp. His eyes are green. The main color of his fur is red; the lower part of his body and inner ear are white, and his hands, feet, ear tips, and part of his tail are dark red.

For most of the cartoon, Nick wears a light green Hawaiian shirt with a striped tie and gray pants. Like the vast majority of the characters, he does not wear shoes. Nick was a cynical swindler, thinking only of his own benefit, spitting on the law and not shying away from deceiving others. He is charming, a great actor. This outlook on life was formed due to an old childhood trauma. In reality, Nick can be kind, patient and sympathetic. All his positive qualities were revealed by his friendship with Judy. He did not abandon her in trouble and risked his life for her.
