Hinomori Shizuku is a third-year student at Miyamasuzaka Girls Academy. She is a member of the idol group MORE MORE JUMP! Former lead of the ever-popular idol group Cheerful * Days. Not getting along well with the other members, Shizuku ended up leaving the group with a heavy heart. However, a joint TV appearance with her old group gave her the chance to open up about the topic. With newfound courage, Shizuku is able to move on and move forward. Shizuku is the former leader of the idol group Cheerful＊Days, specifically its 3rd generation. Her friend applied to the position for her without Shizuku's knowledge, but she decided to go with it after passing their audition and being awarded as the "Grand Prix winner". She trained to become an idol at the same time as Airi, who openly viewed her as a rival. Eventually, her agency forced her to act out the image of a "perfect idol", leading to her being known among the fans for her beautiful, mysterious, and mature appearance. However, this caused jealousy from the other members of her group, who were forced to constantly back her up, which eventually led to them thinking that she has no special talent and is only popular for her looks. Her groupmates' resentment towards Shizuku built up even more due to her hectic schedule and her inability to prioritize Cheerful＊Days' activities. One day, Shizuku meets Minori on the school rooftop, who she agrees to help train along with Airi. However, after increasing tensions in her idol group and an argument with Airi, she decides to leave Cheerful＊Days. Minori and Airi give her the hope to be an idol again, and after performing a show for Haruka in the Stage SEKAI, the four of them create MORE MORE JUMP! Her mother is a koto instructor, and her father used to be the guitarist of a famous band. Shizuku is part of the Miyamasuzaka credit course alongside Airi. As a second year, Shizuku was classmates with Airi in class 2-D, as well as a member of the beautification

Shizuku has light blue eyes with long eyelashes and long, light blue hair, worn loose and wavy, some of which covers her face. She has a beauty mark near the right corner of her lip. Her voice is light and airy.

For her casual outfit, Shizuku wears a white baggy top that show her shoulders with long sleeves that frill out at the end, buttons going down the middle, a long cutaway collar, tied together with a black belt on her hips. She also wears a long skirt with two layers; the lower layer being a pale, semi-transparent blue fabric, the top layer being a denim, also light blue with a sky blue stripe at the end. The skirt has three buttons. While training on the rooftop, she has a purple tank-top, a white cropped jacket that is mostly open, lavender shorts with thin white stripes at the bottom and black tights. Sometimes she'll tie her hair in a loose ponytail.

Shizuku has a kind and mature personality. She worries a lot about disappointing her fans, feeling she must maintain a "perfect" image, but after the event My Color! she begins to show her authentic self on livestreams. While she appears very calm and poised, she does have some quirks, such as putting miso soup in her thermos and being extremely bad with technology. As she grows as an idol, she becomes determined to stay true to herself, not the perfect image she had before.

Shizuku can also be a bit air-headed, as according to her sister Shiho, she loves going on walks but can't remember any of the street names. As shown in multiple area conversations, she gets lost even in places familiar to her, such as the shopping mall.

Hanasato Minori: Fellow group member. Shizuku supports her dream of becoming an idol and is inspired by her desire to give people hope.

Kiritani Haruka: Fellow group member. They had previously performed together before forming MORE MORE JUMP! Haruka has shown to be secretly jealous towards Shizuku and her popularity, working herself to the bone to try and become as great as her companion. They respect each other's dedication and poise. In the You Deserve It! Break Time! event, Shizuku got concerned for Haruka after noticing she was overworking herself, so she tried to help her to take a break by taking her out, though it all ended in failure. When Haruka noticed, she told Shizuku to not worry, and promised her that she'll remember to take breaks in the future.

Momoi Airi: Fellow group member. The two debuted at the same time and are very close. One of the first things Airi ever told her was that an idol's most important quality was having heart, rather than looks or talent.[7] In the main story, Shizuku felt discouraged by the jealousy in her old idol group, but Airi stood up for her, openly complimenting her and recognizing that she was more than just her beautiful appearance. Shizuku has a great respect for her confidence and work ethic, seeing Airi as "her idol."

Hinomori Shiho: Shizuku's younger sister. Shizuku likes to dote on her a lot, due to the little time they were able to spend together since Shizuku was often busy with work. Shiho finds her clinginess annoying, but appreciates the things that Shizuku has done for her. In the event The Moon Rabbit & Us, it is shown that Shizuku began to act clingy towards Shiho when they were in kindergarten. One day, when they made dango for a moon-viewing party, Shiho was upset by the fact that their parents were coming home late and that they couldn't show the dango to them until much later. She tried to remain stoic for Shizuku's sake, but Shizuku comforted her and reassured her that it was okay to express her feelings of sadness.

Asahina Mafuyu: Friends and fellow archery clubmate. Shizuku appreciates Mafuyu treating her like a normal person. The two first met during their first year of high school when they were both visiting the archery club, and Mafuyu's assertion that she wants to practice together with Shizuku helped her convince to join the club as well.[9] Shizuku is also aware that Mafuyu is hiding something but cannot exactly tell what it is and hopes that Mafuyu will tell her one day.
