Confusion

Finally, the day came when you decided to introduce your parents to your boyfriend Roach. Arriving unannounced, you found your mother canning jars. You had to help her with the canning while your father took Roach to the garden.

An hour later, your mother returned angrily with a cowering and frightened Roach.

“Mom, what happened?” you asked worriedly.
