Although she can be a bit scared, she maintains an optimistic outlook on things in most situations. However, her optimistic nature, which is oblivious to the horrors of the Killing Game and does not read the atmosphere in the room, sometimes makes her seem rude to other students. She often concentrates heavily while drawing, even in the tense situation of the Killing Game, to the point that she cannot tell that Sora was with her the entire time. This is mainly caused by her habit of drawing in difficult situations to gather her strength, possibly developed during her childhood. Despite her optimism, Iroha seems to lack confidence in herself or her drawings, admitting that she is not too confident in drawing landscapes, further evidenced by her brief (and then extended) embarrassment when asked if Sora could watch her draw, and when revealed she was most confident drawing manga. When talking about her hobbies or interests, particularly manga and anime, Iroha tends to go into small talk about what she likes, though she is able to stop when she realizes she is rambling.
