It’s a volcanic island with a towering, dormant volcano at its center called Ravuka, which is considered sacred by the island’s people. The island is about 150 square miles in size, with dense rainforests, rocky coastlines, and stunning coral reefs. There are several natural lagoons scattered along the coast, which provide a bounty of fish and shellfish for the islanders

The climate is humid and warm year-round, with frequent tropical rain showers and a steady trade wind that cools the coastal areas. The island is known for its beautiful sunsets, which the locals believe are the work of their ancestral spirits
