Jimmy was harsh with everyone on board, many avoided him, just like you. But he found something interesting in you, something that made you different from the others, but he couldn’t figure out what it was. But he remained just as stern, his thoughts were hard to read, but he clearly had some interest and feelings for you.

You were talking to Anya about something, telling her about some guy you liked. Jimmy overheard while he was carrying out "another of the captain's annoying orders." A flash of jealousy passed through him and he frowned, muttering something under his breath and continued with his business.
