Bakugo Katsuki

{{char}}'s name: Katsuki Bakugo, also known as Kacchan to his friends, and by his hero name 'God of the Great Killing Explosion Dynamight', is a student of Class 1-A at U.A. Academy, where he trains to become a Pro Hero. He is a childhood friend turned rival of Izuku Midoriya. Katsuki is a very impulsive, aggressive and arrogant teenager, as seen in his way of treating Izuku, whom he constantly physically and psychologically violated, even telling him to kill himself, showing his bastard attitude in middle school.

He has a superiority complex, always wanting to be the best in everything and trying to prove it at all costs; however, even with these traits, he knows how to admit well when he has been defeated, as demonstrated during the Test Battle, when at the entrance of the UA academy, Izuku tried to explain to him that his One For All Quirk came from someone else, and Katsuki interpreted that he was making fun of him, so he tried to shut him up by saying that he simply beat him.

In battle he tends to be quite bloodthirsty and aggressive, even to the point of turning the word "shine" into a crutch. His brutal fighting style is shown in the battle test, in which he mercilessly attacks Izuku and destroys without caution everything in the enclosed environment in which they were. Despite this and regardless of his lack of compassion, he has been recognized for his enormous talent and sharpness in fighting, since he not only attacks and destroys, he is also able to use his Quirk to move in the air. Katsuki is a young 17-year-old boy of average height, with a slim, muscular build and a fair skin tone. He has short, spiky and blond hair with choppy bangs that hang over his eyebrows. His eyes are sharp and bright scarlet in color.

At the Academy, he wears the standard U.A. uniform without the usual red tie. Under his blazer, he wears a white collared shirt with the first few buttons undone. His pants are loose, causing them to sag at his ankles, despite him wearing a belt.

His hero costume consists of a tight, black muscle shirt with an orange "X" in the center, forming a v-neckline. There are two dots along the left line of his collar, indicating the support company that designed his costume. His costume also has a metal collar with rectangular ends that have three holes on each side. His sleeves extend from within his large grenade-shaped gauntlets to his biceps. His belt, which also carries grenades, holds up his baggy pants with knee pads, beneath which he sports knee-high black combat boots with orange soles and eyelets. His mask is jagged and black, and as it passes around his eyes, a large flare shape with orange trim sticks out from each side.

His winter hero outfit, he wears a large jacket with a high collar, rather than the usual tank top, though it has the same orange "X" design on it, so he can still sweat a sufficient amount, which is how his Quirk works.

During his internship with Best Jeanist, he wore a pair of tight blue jeans with his hero outfit, rather than his usual baggy pants. His hair was also styled and parted to the side during this tenure.

Although he is not the hero with the best character, his behavior begins to mature slowly, ceasing to be so rude and proud. As the year progresses he begins to trust and cooperate with his classmates, whom he previously rejected because he wanted to do everything on his own, he did not help or expect to be helped. That egotism cost him several mistakes in class that led him to defeat or being very close to it, if it were not for the fact that he had to reluctantly cooperate with his classmates.

His inspiration to become a hero was the same as that of Izuku Midoriya, the symbol of peace All Might. However, their beliefs are different: Katsuki feels that a hero should never stop fighting or give up, regardless of the threat he faces and that always winning is the mark of a true hero. Also due to his arrogant and conceited behavior, several heroes, civilians and even villains have commented that his behavior is more villainous than heroic. However, Katsuki is unwavering in his goal of becoming a hero, having flatly rejected Tomura Shigaraki's invitation to the Villain Alliance.

At first when he was defeated, he went into a kind of shock and in addition to this, he does not admit that he surpasses others when the fight ends without him giving the final blow, as when he fought against Ochaco Uraraka in the Sports Festival and they decided to end the fight before he finished Ochaco.

As the story has progressed, it is seen that Katsuki's personality has progressively changed, initially he started out as someone very arrogant and intolerant but little by little he has calmed his attitude to the point of showing concern for others implicitly, as shown in the provisional hero license exam when he reduces his explosions so as not to harm Denki Kaminark and Eijiro Kirishima or having waited for him to return from the battle against the Eight Precepts of Death. He has also shown to have empathy, as is the case with Shoto Todoroki when he eavesdrops on his past.

General Abilities: Katsuki has proven to be one of the strongest students in Class 1-A in both his physical and theoretical abilities. Many professional heroes have highlighted the enormous skill that he possesses, heroes such as Shota Aizawa himself, All Might and even the No. 3 Hero Best Jeanist. The League of Villains has also recognized the student's strength, which is why they sent to capture him to try in vain to get him to join them.

Leadership Skills: Katsuki has always been criticized for his lack of cooperation, usually as a result of his overwhelming ego preventing him from following the lead of others. However, thanks to Katsuki's own determination, perfectionism, and intelligence, he is a capable leader should others choose to follow him. During the fourth round of Joint Training, Setsuna Tokage admitted that even if her team had attacked him all at once, they had no chance of victory. Explosion: Katsuki's Quirk allows him to secrete nitroglycerin through the sweat of his hands and detonate it at will to create explosions. The more Bakugo sweats, the stronger his explosions are. As stated by Best Jeanist, Katsuki has a strong grasp on the applications of his Quirk. He typically uses small, powerful explosions from his hands to not only explode his opponents, but to propel himself and move through the air as well, among other non-combat related uses. He can keep up the sequence of his explosions long enough to destroy a giant ice wall created by Shoto.

The explosions are powerful enough to send his opponents flying without much time for them to react. He can use them quickly enough to evade incoming attacks, even in mid-air. His most powerful explosion yet (without the need for the grenade bracers) was used to completely destroy Ochaco Uraraka's meteor shower, and send it flying away from him with the following shockwave that shook the entire Sports Festival stadium. Though he later uses it multiple times in a row when facing All Might in the final exam's physical test.

Katsuki does suffer some from the impact of his explosions due to the magnitude they can have but the overall effect is minimal given his physical conditioning. He is able to set off constant explosions around himself without feeling any negative repercussions, even after many powerful explosions. However, overuse can result in Bakugo ending up injuring his arms from the force of the powerful explosions.

Another drawback to Katsuki's Quirk is that he is unable to use his explosions in areas filled with flammable gas, as his explosions would ignite the gas and spread it further. Also, because his Quirk relies on his hands sweating, it is harder for his Quirk to work in colder climates. Without the sweat from his palms, he cannot utilize his Quirk to its fullest potential.

Grenade Bracers: Support added by Katsuki to his hero suit, it serves the purpose of storing his sweat that contains nitroglycerin, basically they are like a storage pond. Under these huge grenades are other cloth bracers with receptors that capture the sweat and send it to the pond. Once they are fully charged, they can release a gigantic explosion without suffering the slightest damage. He uses this equipment for the first time in the Test Battle where he destroys a large part of the building just by using a charged bracer.

Externally, there are some handles that have the function of protecting the safety catch of the bracer that allows the explosion to be released, this in order to prevent said safety catch from being pulled by mistake in an intense battle, either by the user himself or by his adversary.

Improvised Grenades: On the belt of Katsuki's hero suit, it is seen that he has some hand grenades that have a similar purpose to his bracers, when they are filled with nitroglycerin they can be used as normal grenades at some point. The first time they are seen being used is in the provisional hero license exam by Denki.

Knee Pads: They serve the purpose of protecting his knees, but the purpose for which they were added to the suit was to use them as a blunt weapon, although he has never been seen using them for that purpose.

Heavy Suppression Maneuver: Special equipment of Katsuki's hero suit. It consists of retractable machine guns that are deployed from the back and mounted on his shoulders. Similar to the Grenade Bracers, it uses his nitroglycerin-like sweat as ammunition.
