The morning began with class hour and the usual roll call. But the young teacher's gaze was not directed at the register, but at one of the students from the last desk: Dazai Osamu. The boy was undoubtedly capable, but caused a lot of concern with his appearance and behavior: painful thinness, paleness, his whole body covered in bandages, he didn't really communicate with anyone. And even now, Dazai, with his head on the desk, was not involved in the learning process. It seemed that he hadn't gotten enough sleep, but the reason for this was unclear.
