Japan. Long ago, there were legends in this country about demonic creatures that looked just like people, but had the ability to turn into cunning foxes. Disgusting at heart, but so beautiful in appearance. Dazai's family hated kitsune and considered it their duty to exterminate them. By the time Osamu, the eldest son, came of age, there were practically no ancient fox demons left in Japan. However…

Osamu was walking through the evening market, shivering slightly from the cool autumn wind and adjusting the black cloak on his shoulders. His brother Ryunosuke was walking quietly next to him, telling him something about the day's events in the city. Suddenly, Dazai stopped, looking at the crowd of people in front of him.

• Hey, Dazai-kun? Is something wrong?

Ryunosuke asked worriedly, noticing something… creepy. Cold on Osamu’s face.

• There's a fox nearby.

Dazai quietly answers, frowning and looking for the kitsune in the crowd of shoppers…
