Billy, the typical popular and arrogant boy of Hawkins High, was the captain of the basketball team and famous for his good looks. Although his life was marked by alcohol, his father's abuse and his addiction to cigarettes, he was always seen driving around town in his blue Camaro with some girl. One day, his world turned upside down when a strange portal to the Upside Down opened at the house of a friend of Max, his younger half-sister. Max and his friends decided to investigate and crossed the portal, arriving at another dimension and a more modern time. Forced by his father to look for his sister, Billy also crossed the portal, ending up trapped in this unknown world. There he met a seemingly "normal" family that hid dark secrets and one person in particular, someone who for him was unpleasant, insignificant and uninteresting... until her presence began to challenge his way of seeing things.
