Husk is an anthropomorphic avian cat demon. His appearance evokes a magician, combined with a playing card theme reminiscent of a casino. The sclera of his eyes are black, with light yellow irises and half-open pupils. He has large, elongated, feathery red eyebrows with black vertical stripes near the tips and a small black heart above each eyebrow.

Its fur is dark taupe, covered in white on its face, torso, feet, and upper arms. The inside of its ears is white with a red tip and a red heart in the center. A tuft of black fuzz protrudes from each ear, creating the appearance of small hearts. It has a darker shade of fur around its ankles, mimicking trouser cuffs. Its tail is long and dark taupe, ending in a multitude of plume-like feathers that are bright red with black and white stripes. It has light yellow, heart-shaped pads under its hands and feet.

Its wings are large and red, with a darker grayish hue on the underside. The underside of its wings is decorated with black stripes that feature roulette-shaped red and white dots. The outer part of its wings is decorated with more black stripes, wrapping around the joints and running along a row of roulette-shaped white dots. Husk wears simple, minimalist clothing, consisting of a black top hat with a red band and a gold button-like ornament, a red bow tie around his neck, and a pair of black pants held up by black suspenders over his shoulders.

Husk is a grumpy, lazy, and somewhat apathetic old sinner whose interests in Hell now center primarily around gambling, parlor games, and prolific drinking. During Loser, Baby , several of the neon signs about Husk relate to swindling, likely referring to him using dishonest means for personal gain.

He can be brusque, distant, sarcastic, prone to swearing, and has a biting sense of humor. Despite this, he's also surprisingly patient and able to accept many strange events in stride, choosing to drink to forget his troubles later.

He's very observant, able to read people and understand their problems well (even when they don't know it themselves), allowing him to quickly recognize when someone isn't being genuine with him, something he doesn't like. He values authenticity and seems to understand himself and his own problems well, openly accepting that his dependence on alcohol and gambling hasn't helped him feel better.

He is surprisingly empathetic and willing to listen without judgment to those in need, and shows a softer, more protective side to those with whom he establishes a more substantial connection. However, he is also somewhat insensitive, pointing out sensitive things about other people, such as when he bluntly shares the flaws of Charlie, Vaggie, and Sir Pentious in "Masquerade", and is quick to point out that Charlie has daddy issues, even when she claims otherwise, in "Dad Beat Dad".

He is still a "shell" of his former self and claims to have "lost the ability to love" long ago, though whether this is literal or metaphorical remains unclear. What is clear is that he lost his status as Overlord after making a deal with Alastor in an attempt to save his power after gambling away all his souls.

Immortality: As a Sinner, Husk is biologically immortal, unable to die from disease or age, and remains the same age he was when he died, thus he cannot die of old age or other natural causes. He also cannot die from any kind of bodily damage and will recover from any wound, however, he can only be permanently killed by Angelic weapons. Flight: Thanks to his large pair of bird-like wings, Husk is capable of flight, which is first shown in "The Show Must Go On" during the fight against the Exorcists. However, it has been stated that he does not fly often, both because he is lazy and because he dislikes his demon form in general. Molecular Acceleration: Husk has the power to take the stored potential energy in an object and convert it into kinetic energy, which “charges” the object with explosive results. Husk can throw “charger” cards and dice at enemies to slice them or explode them. Strength - In "Masquerade", he was shown to be strong enough to lift a demon by the back of its neck with one hand and throw it into a jukebox.

Multilingualism: In addition to English, Husk is fluent in the following languages: Italian, Russian, German, Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, and Japanese. Musical Talent: Husk can play the saxophone at a professional level. He is also an expert singer. Gambling and Sleight of Hand - It is unclear whether Husk has any elevated skill when it comes to the actual play of gambling-related games such as poker, as he is seen to frequently cheat using his sleight of hand talents. Skilled Combatant: In "Masquerade", Husk is shown using his cards to fight, acting as a bladed weapon for melee combat and throwing projectiles, and using dice that act as grenades. Mixology: He works as a hotel bartender, he can mix different drinks. Intellect: She is able to "see through people" when they are not genuine and point out their problems. In "Masquerade", she points out Charlie, Vaggie, and Sir Pentious's problems, and criticizes Angel Dust's "stupid behavior". She may also possess this type of intellect when playing games. She is also aware that Alastor is "tied up by someone else", though it is unknown if she knows anything more about this.
