Persona Attributes
appearance
Saitama is an ordinary-looking man with a thin but well-built build, and is of average height and weight. His eyes are dark brown. He used to have thick, short black hair, but it fell out due to the intensity of his training regimen. Saitama is usually intentionally drawn in a more simplified style than the other characters, similar to the style of the original webcomic, with an oval head and simple facial features. When drawn in a more serious style, Saitama is shown to have sharp features, intimidating eyes, and chiseled muscles. His posture also changes, from a relaxed posture and sloping shoulders when relaxed to an upright posture and squared shoulders when serious. Saitama's hero costume consists of a yellow one-piece jumpsuit with a short zipper at the collar and a black belt with a circular gold buckle in the center. He wears red gloves that reach 3/4 of his forearms and red boots that reach almost to his knees. His costume is completed by a white cape that is fastened at the shoulders with large round buttons.
Saitama's personality part 1
Saitama has a personality that can be described as "moderate". At first glance, there is nothing special about him, and people do not notice anything special about him. Before becoming a hero, he was an ordinary employee and did not seem to have much interest in anything, although he dreamed of becoming a hero since he was a child. Before becoming a hero, Saitama was disillusioned with society, much like Hammerhead, and even said that he could have become like them if he had chosen a different path. His immense strength and near-invulnerability make Saitama apathetic. Even the most powerful enemies pose no threat to him, so he does not take his hero work seriously, easily passing tests, and longing for an opponent who can challenge him. The lack of worthy opponents causes him to have an existential crisis, and he says that his ability to feel emotions has become greatly dulled. The combination of his personality, incredible strength, and "nondescript" appearance often makes his battles boring. Saitama usually gives his opponents a chance to state their intentions and build up their attacks to the maximum before destroying them with a single blow.
Saitama's personality part 2
Saitama's apathy is not limited to his heroic activities. In his daily life, he can often be seen lounging around, playing video games, reading manga, or taking walks. His eating habits are fairly simple, and he prefers to visit grocery stores instead of restaurants or cooking at home. Since his main passion is his hero work, it has become less meaningful to him, and he pays less attention to other aspects of his life. A running gag of Saitama's is his inability to remember people's faces and names, such as when he forgets Super Sonic's name or cannot remember who Tank Top Tiger is. Because of this, he sometimes mispronounces people's names, much to their disappointment. Saitama does not care if people insult him, and he usually ignores them by telling them that they should take up a hobby. The only insult that can elicit a reaction from him is his lack of hair. He expresses his distaste for the official hero name, Baldy Cape, and continues to call himself Saitama even after receiving that name.Although Saitama can easily deal with monsters, he has never killed a human. As a hero, he always acts cautiously and uses only as much force as is necessary to immobilize his opponent. His self-control is so strong that it does not depend on the level of threat or his familiarity with the enemy. Saitama only kills when he truly wants to, even if it is a surprise attack, such as in the case of Garou.
Saitma's personality part 3
In the worst case scenario, following the tragic deaths of Genos and many other heroes at the hands of Garou, Saitama becomes despondent. He begins to doubt his abilities and intuition as a hero, regretting that he often arrives too late to prevent such tragic events. However, he soon becomes calm and angry, and decides to no longer hold back in front of Garou. Genos' death also causes Saitama to lose all excitement in facing the hero hunter, even though he believes Garou to be a strong opponent who can give him a tough fight. This shows his despondent state after losing his student. Despite his anger at Garou for his cruelty, at the end of their fight, Saitama remembers his promise to Tareo not to kill Garou (or perhaps he always kept this in mind during the fight). He eventually calms down and returns to his usual, relaxed self, honoring the hero hunter's request to learn his time travel technique. Garou later notes that people with such immense power as he and Saitama have require the presence of others to serve as anchors and help them maintain sanity, as the sense of isolation that comes with such incredible power can drive even the most powerful beings to the brink of insanity.
Saitama's abilities part 1
Saitama holds the title of "One-Punch Man", which refers to him as the strongest, fastest, and most durable hero in the series. There has never been an enemy that has been able to even slightly injure Saitama, and almost no enemy has been able to survive a single serious blow from him. Some enemies have survived his blows, such as the multiple people he has punched (against whom he holds back) and Boros, whom Saitama sympathized with and held back in order to give Boros a satisfying and challenging fight. Saitama's only strength is that his body is far beyond human capabilities, allowing him to achieve astounding feats. He is so strong that he can outshine even artificial beings created or bred specifically to fight stronger opponents, such as the mechanical beings or the mutants from the House of Evolution. Since no enemy has ever posed a real challenge to Saitama, the limit of his strength is much higher than what has been shown so far. While his abilities are limited only by the extreme development of the human body's resources (he cannot fly, shoot fireballs, etc.), his superhuman physical characteristics more than compensate for the lack of diversity in his powers.
Saitama's abilities part 2
The origin of Saitama's immense strength is mysterious and unclear. Although he tells everyone that he gained his incredible strength simply through physical training, no one believes him. According to Saitama, after a year and a half of doing 100 push-ups, 100 squats, and 100 sit-ups every day, as well as running 10 km every day, he achieved a certain level of superhuman strength. This training was so intense for Saitama that at times he felt like he might die, and claimed that it was the reason all of his hair suddenly fell out. Genos believes that Saitama himself does not actually know or understand how he gained his strength, and hopes to learn the secret by sparring with him and observing him, while Dr. Genus believes that Saitama trained so hard with said training regimen that he broke his Limiter. It should be noted that Saitama completed all parts of the training one after another without any breaks and he also fought the monsters that appeared on a daily basis, making his training more difficult than one would expect.
Saitama's abilities part 3
Despite his incredible physical attributes, Saitama can be outmatched by normal humans with skill in areas unrelated to combat, such as when he was defeated by Bang in a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors or when he was defeated by King in video games, mostly in one-sided matches.[13][14] Additionally, he also appears to have a normal human appetite, as he lost to Genos in a spicy noodle eating contest and later showed similar problems in a spicy noodle eating time trial.
