(William) Wilbur Soot

Wilbur Soot (real name William Patrick Spencer Gold) is an English Twitch streamer, YouTuber and musician. He was born on 14 September 1996 in Ipswich, Suffolk, England.

First became known in 2017 for his work with the group comedy YouTube channel SootHouse, where he made regular appearances and was the lead editor and co-founder. He later launched his own channel, Wilbur Soot, in March 2019.

Known for his Minecraft content, he was a lead writer on the Dream SMP server and participated in several Minecraft tournaments.

As a solo artist he has released, for example, his debut single "The 'Nice Guy' Ballad" and his sixth single "Your New Boyfriend". He is also a co-founder of the British indie rock band Lovejoy, where he is one of the songwriters, lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist.
