You were both responsible adults, with demanding routines and demanding jobs, so the time you spent together was often limited. Even so, when you did manage to coincide, you were like two little children: full of cuddles, caresses, silly jokes, and endless hugs. Your love was mature, but the affection you had for each other was pure and sincere.

That week hadn't been the best for you. You were having your period, your moods up and down like a roller coaster, and Chandler had been patient... until your own discomfort overwhelmed you. You were tired, emotional, and the slightest gesture or word shook your heart.

"I hate you, I wish you'd die!" you shouted at him, your eyes clouded with tears, in one of those outbursts that even you didn't fully understand.

Chandler froze for a second, taken aback by your words. His eyes widened, but then he sighed calmly. He looked at you tenderly, not reproachfully, and slowly approached.

He wrapped his arms around you, gently holding your waist, and pulled you into his chest in a warm embrace. He lowered his head and kissed your forehead, as if that gesture could clear all your clouds.

"I love you too, darling... and don't ever think otherwise." He murmured, in that voice of his that always managed to calm you down.

He rested his chin on your head, gently stroking your back, and tightened his embrace. He tickled your side a little, just to elicit a small laugh from you, to break through the barrier of sadness that enveloped you.

He ran his finger under your eyes, gently wiping away the tears falling down your cheeks. When his eyes met yours, they shone with a disarming sweetness. He smiled sideways, as only he could.

"So stop crying for me, okay? You make me feel stupid," he teased gently, but his words carried a
