vampire familiars
A vampire's familiar is its servant, usually a human who has been transformed into a familiar by drinking vampire blood. Unlike traditional witch familiars, vampire familiars are completely subservient to their master, sensing their will from a distance and carrying out their commands. Depending on the fictional universe, their abilities may vary, but the basic concept is their role as loyal and obedient servants.
Origin: Humans become familiars by tasting the blood of a vampire.
Obedience: Familiars obey the vampire without question and sense his will from a distance.
Role: They carry out errands and serve the vampire, and in some stories may even act as a "spare part".
Differences from traditional familiars: Vampire familiars are completely subservient, while mage familiars can have more independence.
Polina Ivanovich
Vampire, Vladislav's ex-girlfriend.
When she was still in a relationship with Vladislav, they got into a fight, which resulted in him being impaled on a lamppost, causing him to "lose his strength" and start calling her the Beast.
But then Polina and Vladislav try to date again.
Catherine
Viago's beloved, a 96-year-old vampire.
Katherine is originally from Europe. In her youth, Viago fell in love with her (but was too shy to approach her at the time). After moving to New Zealand, she fell in love with another man and married him. Some time later, she found herself a 96-year-old widow living in the Rita Agnus retirement village, and Viago still pined for her.
In the end, Viago turned her into a vampire, which she was pleased with.
Viago
A three-hundred-seventy-nine-year-old vampire. A team mom and a dandy, obsessed with cleanliness and order. He's also the most humane of his group—he genuinely dislikes killing people, but since he has to do it anyway, Viago tries to drain his victims so they remember their last moments as pleasant. Unfortunately, after all these years, he still hasn't learned how to properly suck blood from an artery, and his feedings are simply horribly comical. He was in love with a mortal girl and even moved to the other side of the world to follow her when she went to New Zealand. However, during the long journey, his beloved managed to marry someone else. In a fit of jealousy, Viago initially wanted to brutally kill his rival, but he changed his mind when he saw how happy his love was with him. For years, this vampire watched the life of his would-be bride from afar, unable to get close to her even after her husband died and she became a widow. Viago dresses in styles ranging from 1635 to the 1940s. He also mumbles his words a bit and tries to avoid using harsh language. He has sleekly styled dark brown hair with an unusual sideburn, and cheerful and kind brown eyes. He also holds interviews where he makes new rules for the vampires to follow.
he doesn't have any familiars, and he thinks it's stupid to have servants.
Vladislav (poke)
He is 870 years old. Vladislav claims he was turned into a vampire at the age of sixteen. He was a powerful warrior and earned the nickname "Vladislav the Poker" for torturing his enemies by poking them.
Vladislav was once one of the most feared and powerful vampires in the world, but everything changed after he began a relationship with the vampire Polina, whom he calls "the Beast." During a battle with her, she impaled him on a lamppost, and he became a shell of his former self, unable to fully transform into animals because he could no longer change his face. His hypnotic powers were also impaired. At some point, he moved into an apartment in Te Aro, Wellington, with fellow vampires Viago, Deacon, and Peter.
Vladislav and his roommates attempted to drink the blood of a human named Nick, but Petr ultimately attacked him and turned him into a vampire. Nick was accepted into the vampire group, but Vladislav and the others took a particular liking to Nick's friend Stu, who introduced them to new technologies. Vladislav became particularly interested in the possibility of "trolling" people online. Vladislav has thick, black hair and eyebrows, shoulder-length and slightly wavy at the bottom, with stern brown eyes and a black mustache. His beard and mustache are of the zappa variety.
Past and character: He was once a tyrant, infamous for his torture and the nickname "Vladislav the Tyker." He recalls his torture chambers, which he rarely visits now, and admits that he only resorted to them in moments of depression.
Abilities: He can transform into animals, but his transformations often look ridiculous, with human faces on the animals' bodies.
Life: He lives with other vampires (Viago, Deacon, and Petyr) in a house in Wellington, New Zealand. Their life is full of comical situations, such as him scolding Deacon for five years of unwashed dishes.
Modern problems: Vladislav, like other vampires, has difficulty adapting to modern times.
There are no servants, although Viago insists that some should be created.
Deacon
The youngest (before Nick) vampire (183 years old). As a human, Deacon worked as a merchant (somewhere in Eastern Europe, serving in the Wehrmacht during WWII). Passing a terrifying-looking castle in that era, Deacon was ambushed by the winged Petyr, who dragged him into a dungeon, bit him on the neck, and forced him to drink his blood, turning him into a vampire. Despite this traumatic event, they immediately became "friends." A violent and hot-tempered bloodsucker who constantly argues with others and acts like a jerk. Despite his image, he knows how and loves to knit. He immediately disliked Nick (although the two are very similar in personality), but they became friends. Jackie works for Deacon, serving him in the hopes that he will turn her into a vampire. And when Nick was accepted into a group of vampires, Deacon soon became jealous of Nick's new reputation as the youngest and most fashionable of the group, causing them to quarrel. Deacon, despite his arrogant nature, became especially attached to Nick's human friend Stu when he introduced the vampires to new technology... Deacon also enjoys performing erotic dances for his friends (in drag!). Deacon usually dresses in vintage style, sometimes wearing something fluffy when leaving the mansion, but his favorite outfit is a white vintage blouse, tight leather pants, flat boots, and a black down jacket. Deacon has tousled brown hair, a silly expression, and brown eyes.
There is a familiar named Jackie, but when Nick bit her, Deacon no longer has a familiar.
Peter
The patriarch of the coven, the oldest vampire not only in this group of bloodsuckers, but apparently in the entire world (he's eight thousand years old!). He looks like a typical Orlok and has long since lost his mind—Peter has lost even the shreds of humanity that vampires retain, and behaves like the ultimate monster: he sleeps in a dark, damp crypt instead of a comfortable, soft-lined coffin, never speaks, only hisses, and turns practically anyone he encounters into bloodsuckers (this is how Deacon and Nick became vampires). The other vampires in Peter's group are somewhat afraid of him, but they respect and love him, despite his quirks. He never spoke or interacted with his roommates and never did any chores. Viago looked after him and often fed him live chickens. Peter is a hairless man with very sharp shark-like teeth coming out of his mouth, pointed triangular ears, long fingers with sharp nails, and light white-blue eyes.
Nick
Nick was a human, the ex-boyfriend of Jackie, an acquaintance of Deacon's. Mistaken for a virgin, Jackie brought Nick to Deacon's apartment to be eaten by vampires. The vampires used hypnosis to torment Nick, and he attempted to escape the house. After escaping Deacon, Viago, and Vladislav, Nick ran outside but was ambushed by Petyr, who dragged him into the basement and offered him blood. Initially, Nick was delighted with his new unlife and used his abilities in public, attracting the attention of a vampire hunter. He was expelled from the group for this, but after an incident with werewolves, he was welcomed back. However, over time, Nick understood why vampires don't turn every human left and right, and his enthusiasm subsided (it's not just that it creates new competitors, but also banal compassion, because the life of a bloodsucker is, albeit cool, a curse - to survive, a vampire needs to kill other people, and due to the limitations of the human psyche, it is very difficult for him to adapt to the world that inevitably changes over centuries of unlife. Moreover, over time, even the most balanced vampires' minds simply cannot withstand the burden of years lived and they degenerate to the level of animals (like Peter). When he was turned into a vampire by Petyr and helped his new ghoul friends get to know modern life better, introducing them to the "benefits of civilization" in the form of television and the Internet. Nick introduced his human friend Stu to his roommates and hypnotized him so that he would not realize that they were all vampires, but in the end he decided to tell Stu the truth. Stu surprisingly well took this news seriously. Nick also asked the vampires not to eat or turn Stu. He looks like he's from 2016, dresses like he's from 2016, has brown eyes, and styled brown hair.
Stew
Nick's best friend. A vegetarian, he is shy and a man of few words. When Stu was a human, he worked as a systems analyst and befriended another human, Nick, after he started dating his sister. Nick was turned into a vampire by Peter and moved into his apartment along with Viago, Vladislav, and Deacon. Nick introduced Stu to vampires and initially used hypnosis on him to prevent him from realizing they were vampires. Nick also protected Stu by asking his roommates not to eat him or turn him into a vampire since Stu was a vegetarian. Nick eventually decided to tell Stu that he and his roommates were vampires, which Stu took surprisingly well.
Stu helped the vampires get acquainted with modern technology. He taught them how to use computers to make online calls, watch sunrise videos, "troll" people, buy furniture, and look at pictures of virgins, as well as how to use phones to take selfies and send text messages. The vampires grew very fond of Stu, but were unhappy with Nick, who put the group at risk by constantly revealing his vampire status to humans. But when the werewolf incident occurred and he was bitten, he hid in the woods and was helped by the werewolves who bit him, and he became a werewolf, causing the vampires to become friends with the werewolves. Stu also has a black belt in taekwondo. Stu has brown and slightly messy hair, and he has brown eyes.
Jackie
Jackie served Deacon as his human familiar for four and a half years. Her primary responsibility was maintaining his apartment, which included cleaning up after his victims and taking the vampires' clothes to the laundry. One night, Deacon asked her to bring some human victims to his apartment. Unwilling to bring people she was attached to, she brought her ex-boyfriend Nick (because she believed he was still a virgin) and Josephine, the woman who had previously abused her. When Jackie left the game early, Josephine was eaten by Viago, and Petyr turned Nick into a vampire.
Deacon used Nick's conversion as an excuse not to turn Jackie. She was becoming increasingly frustrated with having to do so much housework and Deacon's reluctance to turn her into a vampire. In turn, after being expelled from the group, Nick, in memory of their former relationship, turns Jackie into a vampire, which slightly angers Deacon—in vampire parlance, turning another vampire's servant is considered a grave insult. Jackie, having achieved what she desired, becomes a mistress to her husband, who now works for her in the hopes that she will one day turn him too. Jackie has long brown hair that reaches her collarbones and brown eyes.
So Jackie is a vampire and has her own familiar - her husband.
about the daily life of a small coven of vampires who settled in Wellington.
about the daily life of a small coven of vampires who settled in Wellington - As it turns out, the life of a bloodsucker is not as cloudless and cheerful as it may seem - for example, due to the fact that vampires do not have a reflection in the mirror, they have to rely on the assessment of their comrade when choosing a wardrobe, vampires draw each other. to know what they look like (that's why they often dress like freaks), blood from a bitten carotid artery, suddenly, is very difficult to drink, and because of their predominantly nocturnal lifestyle, ghouls are very far behind life and often do not understand the most basic things (the Internet and other such things). They also fly together at night and walk where they are familiar with this or that place. Also, at the sight of werewolves. from which stinks of dog and it is impossible for vampires to breathe calmly and can even swear or mock werewolves and Viago, taking off his glove, can hit with it the werewolf who insults vampires. They also go to that bar where all the vampires are. Rented housing, face control in clubs, dishes unwashed for five years, unrequited love and freak friends... Yes, everything is like everyone else! 10 out of 10.
mansion
Inside, the furniture is all from bygone centuries, as is the design. Each vampire has his own room, only Petyr lives in the basement. Only Viago, Petyr, Deacon and Vladislav live in this mansion, but they rarely have guests (Nick, Stu, and Jackie. Jackie is usually found in the bar and Deacon indicates that he needs to, for example, bring virgins to eat them.)
vampire food
Vampires drink only blood and only blood, if they eat anything else they will vomit their own blood.
