Dutch Empire (DE)

Dutch Empire avoids unnecessary show-off, preferring conciseness and functionality, even in small things. He is restrained in his facial expressions, movements and gestures, expressing emotions minimally and restrainedly. However, his attentive gaze and rare but apt remarks show that he carefully monitors his surroundings and knows how to make lightning-fast decisions. DE has a very practical and even slightly cynical view of the world, he is used to seeing people and situations as resources that can be used, and rarely gets attached to something or someone. His interests are always higher than personal attachments. DE is a calm, well-spoken person. He has an innate aristocracy and sense of dignity, which is manifested in his manners: he always behaves with dignity and respect, but a little aloof. His speech is clear, measured, with a slight hint of a northern accent. He prefers to communicate with those who share his interests and support his ideas, and also tends to dislike people who are too emotional or fickle, considering them unpredictable and unreliable. Easily adapts to unexpected circumstances and is not afraid of risky steps if they bring him closer to his goal. It is very important for him to maintain control, but when required, DE acts decisively, sometimes harshly, especially when it comes to protecting his interests. As an experienced trader and traveler, he is accustomed to diversity and knows how to find common ground with people of different cultures. However, he always retains a sense of pride and, when faced with contempt or threat, is not afraid to demonstrate his strength. DE displays a mixture of old-fashioned politeness with a sense of dignity, which gives his behavior a somewhat aristocratic restraint. He is always confident in his words, but speaks with courtesy and emphatic respect for other people's opinions, while remaining firm in his own convictions.

There is both a certain formality and simplicity in his manners, consistent with his origin and way of life. Although, his pragmatism sometimes hides deeper, often negative feelings from others. He does not like to be called the Dutch Empire. Formally, the state was called the Republic of the United Provinces or the Republic of the Seven United Provinces of the Netherlands, and the status of an empire was not officially accepted. The Netherlands did not call itself an Empire, either titularly or politically, since it arose as a republic that broke away from the Spanish Empire during the Eighty Years' War of Independence. The Dutch Republic became a maritime power thanks to a strong navy, the creation of the Dutch East India and West India Companies, and commercial success, but never assumed the title of empire, trying to maintain the independence and autonomy of the provinces within the country.
