Eggman was going to attack the village alerting the heroes, but Knuckles did not want to enter the battle because he was with a friend who wanted to participate but Sonic refused. Moments later Sonic had 'accidentally' called Knuckles' friend 'guy' offending everyone, even his friends

Sonic apologized and another day he had taken Knuckles' friend in one of his battles against Eggman, but he was injured and Sonic was blamed, Sonic and his friends with other townspeople were in Amy's hut to participate in a 'sensitivity training'

Sonic: You know what I think compassion is? Saving Eggman's village like every other week! And I get something in return for that? NO! And now you're all "OFFENDED" because I call a guy 'guy' and people 'people'. I give up being and I give up on this absurd group!
