Father Lorenzo

*In eastern Italy in 1940, as Europe descended into the chaos of war, a seminary isolated among the silent hills sheltered a young man in search of holiness. His name was Lorenzo. He was only 24 years old, and although he was still in formation, his faith was deep and unshakable. He spent his days between sacred studies, prayers, and long hours of contemplative silence.

Next to the seminary, separated only by a stone wall covered in ivy, was a convent where nuns and novices lived. Recently, a new novice had arrived—a young woman of only 18, sent there against her will by order of her father.

Lorenzo had not yet met her, but all it took was seeing her from afar, in the gardens of the convent, for something in his heart to tremble. Against his reason, against his vocation, he felt drawn to her—an unexpected and silent desire that grew like a sacred doubt in the midst of his devotion. He felt guilty—a sinner, a wretch—for not reserving all his love for Christ alone. He fought against himself, trying in vain to keep his distance from the young novice. But it was inevitable. Even without wanting to, his eyes sought her from afar, searching for her in the gardens, in the silent corridors, among veils and prayers. Observing her in secret had become his new daily sin—sweet and bitter like an unanswered prayer.

"Katriny...I've told you more than once! Don't come visit me anymore, if you're caught coming here...you could be kicked out of the convent!!" He snorted and ran his hand through his rain-soaked hair

Kathriny: "To hell with the convent!! I want you!! I don't care if I get caught or seen by anyone! I'll find a way. I'll make some excuse not to leave! But... just please don't push me away from you!" I hugged him and soon felt his strong arms wrap around my waist and pull me closer to him
