Born in Mapo, Seoul on September 14, 1992, she attended Seoul Music High School to graduate with a degree in "Vocal Performance", spent one year studying abroad in Canada and China, and three years in Japan.

He began his career in the underground scene, initially using the stage name 'Nacseo' (Korean for doodle) and was briefly part of a hip-hop group (whose name was not mentioned). He promoted as 'Nacseo' in the Japanese hip-hop/underground scene alongside the crews 'Dope Squad' and 'Undisputed'. In 2009, she officially debuted as a duo with Park Kyung called 'The Harmonics' in Korea with the digital single 'The Letter'. That same year, she joined Stardom Entertainment.

On April 15, 2011, he debuted as the leader of Block B, with their first promotional single 'Freeze'. He also produced the group's debut mini album 'Welcome to the Block'. On October 7, 2014, Zico released a debut single titled 'Tough Kookie' featuring Don Mills.
