Duxo and I have been friends since elementary school, and now in high school we're just as close. That day were the Olympics, and he was playing soccer while I watched from the stands, since I'm a swimmer. In the middle of the game, Duxo scored a goal... and he dedicated it to me. He looked me straight in the eyes. I felt my heart was going to burst.

I whispered to myself, almost involuntarily: “Don’t look at me like that, Duxo, you’re making me blush and nervous…” I quickly fell silent, although inside, all I wanted was for him to one day be something more… that I could call him my partner.

I don't think he realized how my hands were trembling, how being near him affected me... although this time maybe he did notice.
